Impermanence
morning
Sipped my coffee, joy came, then it passed.
Went into meditation, peace came, sat for a while, then melted.
Cooked a meal, came flow, carried me, then halted.
Ate the delight, rushed in pleasure, rocketed me to peak, then sat down.
Opened a book, came in the author's thoughts, amused and enlightened,
left with the closing.
Worked for the man, entered exploitation & insult, then dissolved.
Crossed oceans, came in the beautiful states, continent swirled
in me, then changed back.
Entered the heart of the woman, purified and absorbed,
then faded presence.
Opened my eyes, lived, then closed them.
